このブログについて：
このブログは駆け出し通訳者である私の「備忘録」を兼ねた「日記」です。自分の通訳修行の過程を記録しながら、自らを鼓舞したいと思っています。通訳・翻訳の理論面（通訳翻訳学）や通訳教育・教材に関しても関心がありますので、これまで学び考えてきたことを自分用に整理するための「記事貯め "Word Bank"」として活用しつつ、それがもし、同じ関心を持つ方々にとって有益な情報の共有ともなれば嬉しく思います。（さらにこのブログが「通訳」という営みや「通訳者」の存在について、一般の方により広く深く正確に知っていただける小さな一助になったらいいな...というのが、内に秘めたる遠大な野望です^-^）日記ですので日常の中で印象に残ったことや京都生活の一端なども綴ります。そして何より、このブログを通して、新しい交流ーー特に志を同じくする通訳者の同志の方々との繋がりーーが持てたら本当に嬉しいです。
自己紹介 About me：
Hello! I am a language interpreter (Japanese-English) based in Kyoto. (English introduction follows Japanese. )
横浜生まれ。高校時代をアメリカで過ごす（単身留学）。およそ20年に渡る東京暮らしを経て、現在、母の故郷でもある京都在住。鴨川の流れに癒され、大文字山のおおらかな「大」の字に励まされながら、京都市内を自転車で滑走する日々。山の雄大な景色と可憐な花々に魅せられ、すっかり登山にはまった(アラフォー)山ガールでもある。
中高英語教員を経て、通訳者へ。
社会人として入学した大学院で、英語教育と通訳翻訳学を研究。

I was born in Yokohama, grew up in Narita (where the International Airport is), and spent three years of high school in California, U.S.A..
While I strive to be a well-trained, useful, top-class professional interpreter, I am throughly enjoying my life in Kyoto, the place to be (at least for a while) if you truly want to know the "heart" of Japan.
Education：
A Master's degree in Intercultural Communication Studies from Rikkyo University, Tokyo. I studied English education and Translation/Interpretation Studies.
Things I Love :
Language, translation, and mountain climbling (hiking). (I would love to be an "attend interpreter" for your hiking and climbing adventures in Japan!)
